Halloween 2008

I missed a good party last night. My close friends organized a party which somehow I wasn't able to attend. It could have been so much better to experience Halloween this year if I was there. But anyway, it's already in the past. I am hoping I can attend my friends party next year. I will look forward to that. Anyway, though I wasn't able to attend a party with my friends. My friends at work did attend our clients party. Their building is just right next door. Liz and I arrived there past 11am. Clients throw their big smile, said hello's. It's so touchy to see them. There was a contest for the best in costume where Liz and I judged it. The winners were proclaimed already when Daniella came late. She wore her pirate costume. She's very beautiful on it. Liz and her look so good with their costume. I just wore a simple dark long dress with a purple in the center. I didn't plan to wear any costume until Liz kept on telling me what will I wear. It turned out to be just fine.In the evening, my husband and I traditionally drive around the neighborhood to see children in their different costume trick and treating to houses. I had a good time seeing kids, holding their bags, pumpkin basin knocking on the door. It made me think back on my childhood which I didn't experienced when I was younger. The PI tradition is different. I spent on my family at some cemetery to light candles for our loved ones. That's our tradition. But here in the US, it's quite festive and somehow different.

I took a lot of pictures of different creatures, spooky houses and inflated balloons. I had the good time with hubby seeing what I would want to see. I am looking forward next year for another good Halloween.

Find that Person

Before the existence of internet, postal mail is the common use to exchange thoughts from far across the globe or just within the country. When I was young, I remembered it could reach a month to go both ways. A message can be logged for weeks, months and to sum up, several messages in a year can be lost and not being written. Long distance relationship is hard to deal with. The intervention of internet makes communication far more advanced thus making certain individuals emotions bearable.

Online dating became so popular. Many site existed. They published people all around the world. You can read from the site different profile, and even getting the person’s interest, and wants. It’s easier to get an overview of a person and see how they described themselves. I did that to find the right guy for me. I got responses from different walks of life. I chose one who seemed to be a perfect gentleman. It took me a few weeks to know the person and we eventually ended up being together. We are married for 3 years now. I am lucky to be able to find my man.

True.com is one perfect example of a site guaranteed safe to find the right person. You can search for free. Many sites that I know of these days are registering a fee to browse the whole site. But with true.com you can explore as much as you can. Take your chances. Follow your heart. It will lead you the way.

Bistro Don Giovanni, Napa Valley

We arrived in Napa Saturday afternoon. We checked in to our place in Lincoln ave and head straight to dine in. There were a lot of restaurants to choose from. I decided with an American dish. Hubby told me some restaurants he browsed from the concierge menu we had inside our cottage. I chose Bistro Don Giovanni located in Howard Lane. It's not american but french italian touch. We drove there for a few minutes and seated by an Italian middle aged man. Soon after we have our menu and water, the chef approached our table and handed us a Fritto Misto. Basically it's more like a battered vegetables with some shrimp. It's good to have free food which I believed always happen to us. There are a number of times we were offered free. I don't know why. It's not just once but I could count maybe 5. Maybe next time, I will reflect on that and go overview which restaurant and what food was brought in.
Anyway, so much with that. Before the meal was served, the waiter served my pineapple express. It has some vodka and more with pineapple juice and my hubby's Merlot. I ordered Grilled Pork Chop where hubby got Seared Atlantic Salmon Fillet. My dish was okay not too overly powerful in taste but it's good enough. I don't have that feeling of wanting to taste it again. There are just some dish when you taste it, you have that feeling of ordering it again over a number of times. This dish didn't get me into that feeling. While my hubby's salmon was kind of small for the price. I thought it could probably they ran out of supply. Well, but it was okay as he said and his smashed potato was good. So at least it complimented. But it could be more good when it is really really good. Anyway, it's just another discovered restaurant we dined in. It's not pretty bad and the restaurant itself is cool. If you want to hear more Italian speaking people, you better dine in this.

Castello di Amorosa, Calistoga CA

It so happen I saw this place to a friend website. I went to NAPA valley several times I never hear that there is a castle in one of the vineyards. To my surprise, hubby took me to see the place. We went there Sunday October 26 past 1pm. The magnificent castle in the middle of the vineyard was spectacular. I may have seen the castle from Disney this castle is different.

We went inside and greeted by a concierge. In order to get to the castle, you must at least pay $15 dollars for wine tasting. It is not too bad than having a tour for an hour that will cost $30 each. So hubby and I paid our ticket for wine tasting and went to the wine tasting area. The area is at the ground so we passed brick of walls going down. It was so nice and cozy. There were a lot of sommelier scattered around the tables from center to outside of the wall. We had a welcome wine of Pinot Grigorio. It is not included of the 5 wines for tasting. We started with 2007 Chardonnay. It was good. Followed by 2007 Gioia (Joy-Uh) Rosato di Sangiovese and 2004 Merlot.

Our glass was changed then to savor the dessert wine. We had a start of the 2006 Gewurtztraminer, "Dolcino", which was my delight of taste and the 2007 IL Raggio Del Sole - Muscat that lifted my palate so very well. I asked hubby to buy those 2 wines. We had a bonus to taste the best sweetest dessert from the Reserve wines 2006 Late Harvest. If it was not so expensive I could have buy it too. But I already have the other two and the latter was sweeter so I sticked to what I had planned. I was really happy of the wine tasting. It's one of the best I had.

As per story of the sommelier, the castle was built for over 15 years. Majority of the bricks were handly made from Italy and other parts of the world. It is so cool to hear that story of how long it will take to build the castle. It was opened 2003 which was just not too long ago. I am so happy to have this privilege to see it.

Just arrived from Napa

The last 3 hours ago, I just arrived from our short trip to Napa. Went there to relax and enjoy the scenery. It could be my 5th time I believe. But the thing about NAPA is that there are a lot of places and vineyard to go to.

We booked our stay in our time share in River Pointe. Cozy place and our first time to use the resort. Though hubby has been a member for long, it was our first try to use the very own resort he owned. It was a good time that someone made a cancellation 2 days before so were able to booked it. I liked the place it's like living a small house in a small village.

We can't live without trying restaurants and wine tasting. I will talk about it some other time. Right now I am kind of tired from my trip and did some work on my job too. So will back again tomorrow hopefully. I will add some photos too that I took.

I'm missing Hawaii

It is not like Hawaii that I miss but the beach itself. I grow up just 1 kilometer away from the beach. I used to go and swimming with my family and relatives mostly every weekend. You can imagine how tan I was when I was a kid. But the fun of swimming, the good seafood skin doesn't matter. It was so nice to remember back then.

I am fortunate that the person I married loves the beach. Oftentimes part of our travel is to go to a beach. This year we did travel to Asia. We went to see the beach but one thing I didn't enjoy was not able to go swimming. I missed that. Here in California, we go as much as we can to see the beach but the water is cold here so it's just part of site seeing. I missed to go swimming, feel the warm water and the waves crashing my body. I hope next time I can go to the beach and enjoy it.

Bruce Germinsky Realtor

I have been in the New Jersey a few months ago. My trip there was so nice. I met most of Joey’s family and relatives. We did some site seeing too. I had a marvelous stay there. One thing that I noticed, the real estate property there is cheaper than here in California. It is a bargain to buy a property there. While I was there, one of the relatives of Joey’s family bought a condo. We visited the place and it was so nice.

Being far away, it might be a good idea to look around New Jersey online. I found this site called Bruce Germinsky Realtor. It is like one of the search engine you can find. But, this site features more. They promote real estate in Monmouth County. I didn’t know where that is until I read the articles on the site. It is located in New Jersey but part of New York Metropolitan area. Mostly the household income there is among the highest rank in the US. Comfort living is the main focus and convenience for commuting to work. Living in this county is a good choice also better for businesses to use office space such as professional and medical class A. They have spaces for retail and shopping centers too. Whatever property you are searching for like commercial, high-end residential, oceanfront luxury condos, waterfront homes are just one of the many that this company is offering. Pay a visit, look what you can find. There’s no other realtor that provide services like this.

Weird Weather

It should be cold now or feeling the chill atmosphere. But the weather here in the bay seemed to up and down. It reached in the 80's which somehow peculiar. Tomorrow will be much more hotter than today's weather. I am ready for the cold season. Summer this year is long. Which I think is good, but the increase and falling of temperature makes me sick. I hope it's going to be a steady weather.

At my job today was slow. It's not the same compare last years volume of calls. It's like we are waiting for the rain to fall. The time to work in a slow phase is quite getting longer too. I hope calls will pick up soon and schedules will get better. Also one thing today, I hate one of the staff from the main office. She insulted me today while she wanted to get a schedule for her nephew that somehow I wasn't able to schedule. She wanted to have a quick reply on that. Liz was out of duty she's sick so I just told that nephew of hers to call back tomorrow to talk to Liz. I ended with the conversation with that guy fine but her reaction to that conversation was different. I am boiling with anger. I sent Liz an email about what happened. I will check tomorrow what could be her reaction to that.

Furniture Store

Someday, the possibility of moving to a new place is likely to happen. My husband and I are trying to look for a dwelling place to move in at this point. When the time comes, we could find that very place. Our preference of decorating the house would be a taste of modern furniture. We like the feel of recent new set of style that modern designs bring.

If the place we find has more space to put things on, I think we will consider buying new items for every place and location we think that need staff for decoration. Our furniture right now is contemporary furniture which is not bad, but we rather want something new. It is so nice to know about the website store from Eroomservice. They offer different kinds of items from modern furniture, contemporary furniture and Italian furniture. I love their designs. I wish I could buy one from them. Right now, it isn’t possible yet. But, maybe someday I will buy the bedroom furniture first. Thereafter, I will try getting the designer furniture when money comes handy. It will be so cool to get one. I hope one day I can get all what I want in terms of decorating a home.

Mean People

Today at work was kind of hard for me and my other co-worker. The donors were pretty mean and rude to us. One phone call in the morning, Daniella was screaming of anger on how she was treated. I got a call from Salinas. It was a guy on the other line. He was trying to make a schedule for pick up. I explained nicely that the area he lives at we don't do any special pick up. He questioned on the mailer card we sent. I gave my best response to that question but he didn't seemed to understand that we just don't pick up certain areas. He demanded to speak to my supervisor but I didn't let him because I wanted to solved the problem right there and then. But he was so mean he asked my full name. I don't like giving names but for his pleasure I gave it to him. I asked for his phone number so I could let my supervisor talked to him he doesn't want to and said something stupid I have ever heard from the time I started working with the company. He said that "why is it hard to arrange a pick up for the F****** donations?" My blood rose up. I was breathing faster and I was so upset with that. I have never heard anyone speaking with that language especially if your intension is to donate. I could visualize right there that his donations could be a crap too. If his manners is so bad, his things could represent him as well. He hang up on me and I was so mad at it. I talked to Liz and she said things to settle me down. If not with the people who care so much to me at work, I won't survive holding my grip to say bad things as well. But I have respect to people and I wont tolerate people like that.

Local Search Engine

Local.com is a search engine site. I used this often. I started using this when it was introduced to me by one of my immediate supervisor at work. I was instructed to do some local research on businesses that are running in our area. She just told me to use this site and I could start from there. She mentioned that it is like using local yellowpages. I can search lots of businesses from local restaurants, stores and others which I am fond of doing. I assumed that it could be easy rather than using the big heavy phone book. I did what was instructed of me. I finished my task fast. Later on, I was appraised for the speed on my work and the number of data’s I got. The site was just too convenient I got all the information I needed.

To tell you in details what I did, I just typed in dry cleaners and city at the search sections. In my research I just need the address, phone numbers of each company and the hours of operations. It right away shows results. It was so fast I don’t have to wait. When you click on the name of the business it will direct you to its profile page and will show you details of their operation. It has a customer reviews too which give further information on how the businesses are running. I was pretty happy with how convenient it was for me to work on it.

Lazy Sunday

The weather is a bit chilly today. I don't feel like going out. I just feel being comfortable here at home watch tv and spending time with hubby. I also need to catch up with my online site to write something for money. How nice could that be right? Just to write your thoughts and someone will pay what you love doing. It's my pleasure to do it. I have some couple of Op that I already missed days ago since I was so busy and no time for it. Today I just need to watch all the Op and try to write something. It's a part time job that is good when you need some money to spend other things. The good thing too, you don't need to be in the office to do it. Just use your computer and you are ready to work on it. Anyway, I need to look for Op now.

Shopwiki

My friend Myrabel is 7 months pregnant now. I am happy when she told me that she’s carrying her first unborn child. Our common friends are excited too for her. Next month, we will organize a baby shower party for her. Perhaps, it will be a surprise. Right now, I am looking for a gift to give for the baby.

I am contemplating what could be the best gift for her. She’s a mother to be that needs a lot of things from diapers, clothing, bedding items and nursery furniture. I decided that the latter could be a possible choice. I searched online to find good deals. I found Shopwiki out of luck. I searched through out the site. It directed me to the nursery furniture buying guide. There are so many products to choose from. They have cribs, bassinets, mattresses, beds, changing tables, toy chest, chair, dresser are just among the many products they carry. Right away, this is a good convenient store to shop. If you want to save time in doing your research on the product and services, look no further. Go for shopwiki, it will give you better deals and you can save more.

Dream Camera

I love taking pictures. Every occasion and events I always love to take that special moments with me through photograps. In my entire life I owned 4 cameras. Two is from Minolta and 2 from Canon. The two Minolta's where given from my mom but I don't have it anymore. It's those film camera used back then. The first camera I bought was Canon Sureshot WP-1. I was so happy to buy this camera back then. Though it was quite bulky, the features of this one made me happy that time. You can't imagine how many photos I took with this one. Also the compilation of Albums I had which somehow was destroyed when I checked back the last time I visit home in the PI.
The second canon I have is the one I got as a wedding present. It's a Canon SD400 5mp. This time not a film but digital. No worries on film just to worry on the batteries life and the number of shots per SD. I remembered the moment I grabbed it in my hand. I was in the kitchen with my dad-in-law looking at the beautiful bouquet I have where I got no pictures of it. We were talking that time to have them keep it or preserved it for me I should say. Then hubby all of a sudden gave me a bag of box. He surprised me with this gift. I was so happy and I took pictures of the bouquet that I left that day in my in-laws house.

This 3rd picture is not a Canon but one of the products from Nikon. I have heard so many good reviews with this. It's a Nikon D80. Many amateur and starting photographers are using this. My wedding photographer in Cebu used this camera and the quality of pictures he took it at the occasion was so beautiful. That is the time where I am loving to get this. Maybe someday, have to save first or if lucky can get this for a gift. LOL!

Vanessa's Birthday

Jen my friend from Pleasanton sent me an invitation a week ago for her daughter's 2nd birthday. I talked to hubby yesterday to follow up if he wanted to go and he said yes. I am excited to see Jen again and see her new place. I went around to buy a gift when I got off from work and wrapped the gifts for the baby.

Earlier today, hubby told me to give Jen a message that we will be coming so I sent her through yahoo, friendster and called her to make sure that she knew. We arrived 2:30pm. Steve and the new baby Spencer was outside when we parked across to their beautiful house. He greeted and acknowledge our presence and show us the way to the basement while holding and taking care of the baby. Their house is big and it's beautiful inside with it's interior design and layout. When I walked in, I saw the table of food and the lechon too. I saw Reyn and her kids outside while Jen was preparing the drinks. I greeted her and she was happy to see me and Joey. A few minutes, we ate and I had a good share of the lechon. It was good. The party was nice and the presence of the clown and the kids laughter made it memorable for Vanessa.

Buy A Condo Hotel

When you reached the age for retirement, you will consider moving to another country or any place that has low cost of living and a comfortable home to live with. I consider retiring early in the near future. I don’t know how I will achieve that goal but I am willing to make sacrifices to achieve that. To save is painful, but the glory of it can reach whatever financial plans I may have. It’s better to think about meeting that goal now rather than thinking about in later years. I don’t want to regret the time I have not doing anything. When there is time, do as much as I can. Time is very essential.

Hotel-view01-old

There are a lot of retirement offerings you can find everywhere. This condo hotel in Panama known as Hotel Casco Antiguo is one of the best deals there is in the market now. Especially now that the economy is slow, buying property below market value like this is the way to go. It is a very good investment. Casco Antiguo is a fast growing real estate markets in the world. Buying this is like gaining more profit. A bargain you can’t find anywhere. Your money goes far than saving in the bank. Why wait to look for others when this one can make most of your money. Register for an eBrochure Here to read more about the details of this offer.

Hope

I have been working for this company going 15 months now. I started with a temp agency under 720 hours until I was hired. I got an increase when the company directly hired me. I was not expecting they could continue my contract. I don't have any plans of pursuing it. I already have a vacation planned. My contract ended from the agency. The following month I got a regular job and was able to travel. Hope was too lenient that though I just recently hired they allowed me to take my vacation for 3 weeks to go and visit my family in the PI. I was lucky to have an employer who is very family oriented.

Last September, I got a performance review and again I have my salary adjusted. Not too high but not too low for the job position I am handling. I wish it could be more monetary wise but it's a non-profit company you couldn't ask for more. I am happy now on what I am having. I will still hoping for a better pay with a different job area. Less than 2 years I got 50% increase from my starting pay.

Bald for a change

325x425_baldcampaign

My life changed when I grabbed a trip to Malaysia with friends. This happened 5 years ago. In the beginning we thought we could just stay for 2 weeks but decided to extend it and hope for the best. We auditioned one day to some of the hotels that we looked at. There was an opening for band members. We were thinking that perhaps we could find a job and get employed. We made our way to the auditioned. The hiring manager was interested to hire our group. But the saddest part, there could only be one. Out of luck, I was chosen and got the job. I was the only one that was picked from the three of us, so I was left behind. The two of them left and flew back to Cebu Philippines. As for me I stayed and worked really hard for the job. It was tough to live alone in a different country. My band mates were locals too. They spoke different languages, ate food not familiar to me, and did their own thing. It was a struggle but I learned to be independent as the time passed by. I became brave and strong to face the challenges. I transformed myself from being shy to become an entertainer. If there is a reason for change, you will eventually do it. My best friend was married last year to a very good person that I, myself could attest the person that he is. He experienced the challenge too from being away with her for 2 years to work in Taiwan. He is the perfect example of a person who is willing to make sacrifices for his loved ones. I always remembered him wearing his neatly trimmed hair. Until one day he cut his hair bald but still it looked good on him. He could be a good candidate for the October contest from
www.airnewzealand.com. They are looking for 30 adults to be shaved and tattooed to serve as cranial billboards in Los Angeles.

2008 Memorabilia - Part I

video
This video is the 2nd creation I made from the recent software I am using. I am playing with the transition, scaling, motion and made one picture that I was able to rotate. It took me a lot of time to finish this. I haven't made anything exceptional with this video but I am happy to know a little on how to make it seamless. I hope I can really make like a professional type montage. It is my project this year to finally able have the grasp of the techniques I want to portray on my work. I will cross my fingers on that.

Slow at work

For the past 2 weeks now my work ethic is getting better. We already have a new employee. Almost the same age as me but she's a year older. She got people skills and her phone etiquette is wonderful. She's a good co-worker. I hope she will not change. I got a little issue on her being forgetful and not doing some of her task where I ended up doing it but it's okay. I forgive her on that. She's still a new employee so she needs to have more training on that aspect. I hope it's not gonna be a ritual setting where I will remind her at all times. That could pissed me off.

Today was kind of slow. My recycling paper work is on time too. We don't have so much delivery at the recycling site. Our collections at this point is getting slow. So at my spare time just browsing some other recycling companies on how they promote their e-waste pick ups. I just need some ideas so that in the near future when my boss will call me up for an idea I could have something to give him or something to talk about.

Midori restaurant

Last night, hubby took me to a Japanese restaurant. He asked me at first as to what would I like to eat. I decided to get some teriyaki flavor. So we went to a nearby restaurant. Just 5 minutes drive from my place the restaurant called Midori. We haven't dine there. It was our first try.

We walked in to the restaurant. Greeted by a gentlemen. The seats were cushion and very japanese style. It's nice and cool. The thing about chinese and japanese restaurant is their free tea. This restaurant has a good green tea. It's refreshing. After looking at their menu which I had a hard time comprehending. Well, of course words are written in Japanese and only some were in english. It's a common thing but it's a good thing to get some experience with different restaurants.

We orderd a starter of 3 pcs shrimp tempura and our main entree was beef teriyaki. The meal includes salad and miso soup. We were lucky because the starter was good, the soup and salad was delicious too. I was enjoying it. Also when the entree was served, it was so good. I am not sure with their sushi though. I am not a fan of sushi not even trying to eat it. My mind can't just grasp eating raw. It's my mental that keeps not trying. I just don't. If my mind can't take it, how much more with my stomach. I know how sensitive I could be with raw meat. To sum up this post, I would recommend this restaurant regardless if I haven't tried their sushi.

Santana Concert

Living here in the US for 3 years, I haven't attended any concert. When my husband told me a week ago that Santana will be playing in the bay area, it was my delight to say that "we will go". He booked the tickets 3 days ago and last night we watched him play at Amphitheater, Mountain View. We arrived 20 minutes before the show started. We grabbed some drinks. I had my frozen margarita where he got his red wine Merlot. It was a chilly night with my drink but the tequila mixture in the drink gave me warmth. It was a pretty good drink.

The show started with Salvador Santana Band. They're just an okay band. They are from the LA and one their vocals lived here in the bay. So it was his interest to play and of course to be the opener for Santana. How big you can get to play with a big star right? I can just imagine how great to play on stage when you will introduce the star. I used to be in the band before. I know how it feels when you will be a back up band to a very known artists.

Anyway, after an hour from the opening. Santana came out with his hat and his distinctive guitar. His amazing. His getting old now, but his music lives. He really plays so good and his band is so great. Each one of his band members played so well. Of course, you need to be a good talent when you will be working for Carlos. I had a good time with the concert. It is big for me because I like his music so much.

Seeing bad economy

The US economy is getting bad. I read lots of companies laid off and filing bankruptcy. The stock market is at the lowest too where DOW proclaimed a loss of 600 just for a day. Just few days ago and watching news and read some articles, the ripple effect of the economy causes global financial change. It affected countries like Australia and Singapore who just announced recession. How far can this economy go wrong? Is there any solution for this economy? Will there be any progress in the near future? No one knows on when and how will this economy recover. I am hoping for the best for our future. I wanted to see the dollar go up and more buying power than other currencies. I may just be imagining for impossibilities but I am optimistic.

Video Anniversary

video
The first video I made using motion and scaling with premiere pro cs3. I need to do more with this software. I am pretty new about it, which somehow didn't give me the finish product that I intend to make. For now, I am happy what I am seeing and will take more editing time until I can create what I really wanted to achieve.

New Prospect friends

I grabbed this award from Myrna. She lives in San Jose. Though we maybe live close by, we haven't seen each other. I just happen to know her from blogging. She seems to be very responsive when she got the time. I wanted to see her someday and I am sure I will be surprised how good a person she can be. Maybe not just a person, but could be a wonderful friend to gain for real.

I want to share this to all bloggers who try to sneak in and read some of my written keepsake. I know it's hard to take time to do some blogging if time is crunched but if you got some time, take time to post this and this will be an award to all of you who take my friendship and likewise I am thankful to all of you for the kindness and the friendship.

Put that Smile On!

Smiling is infectious,
You can catch it like the flu.
Someone smiled at me today,
And I started smiling too.

Toss this smile along to your friends who brightened up your day
or those whose days you want to brighten up.

Smile!

Each day is a wonderful reason to celebrate!

I got this tag from my friend Hazel. She's such a doll. Every moment I spent with her chatting and exchanging messages at multiply makes my day. Today, I feel better and my heart is blooming. So I grabbed this to spread to other friends of mine here who pays a visit.

Breakfast

This is the most important meal of the day. I grow up to ate more portion in the morning and getting less to other meals. But when I reached the middle age of 20's, it started to decrease. I should have to concentrate eating more, it just didn't work. Also that very instant of my life, I used to work at night. My day turned a night. I woke up late in the afternoon where my meal begun. It spoiled my appetite in some ways. I was skinny that time. These days in my early 30's and where I am working right now. I just grabbed a slice of bread and juice in the morning. I get used to eat small.

Today, hubby and I went to Hometown buffet to eat for breakfast. I was stuffed. It was so good. I got my soup which I loved regardless if it's morning or what time of day. Some corned beef, ham, bacon, rice crispy, some sweets like ice cream how can that meal not make you happy? I got a full stomach out of that. Hubby got his egg omelette, and other sweets too. We were both satisfied. Next week again, another buffet of big breakfast.

Check up

I had my doctor's appointment today. I was scheduled at 10am but kind of late when got there. I wasn't hoping I could have my appointment and see the doctor. All I had in mind was just to let hubby do his appointment at 10:15. The front desk asked the doctor if okay and we're both together inside. I got my weight which is 105.6 a little bit lower than 110 the previous year. I still managed to have my weight maintained in that range and my blood pressure is 110/70 which I would assumed normal. I don't know which is normal or not. All I care is if they say it's normal, I would go for it.

The doctor then checked my toes. She said it's a corn. I will just buy an over the counter medicine at walgreens or any other pharmacy out there. It's nothing serious and she said people has it. I was just concern on the little toe. She advised that if it's getting me pain in the future, I will need to have a surgery. Tough word to heard it. I hope it will not get worst. Also with the corn, I hope the medicine that I am going to buy over the counter will hep too.

With Joey's case, he got a swelling below his knee cap. It's not certain if it's a lump or something so he was asked for an xray. The findings will be read on Monday and the doctor will call him for the result. I hope it's not bad. I hope for the better.

Off from Work

Every third Friday in my company we have this alternating off. So today is my day. It's really a good way they have it planned. Instead of working 37.5 a week, we accumulate the hours we missed and altogether take it in one day. It's a good idea. At first I was thinking it is so bad because I can't get to work full time. Now I realized with my work, it's definitely a plus because I can get to relax more although I am not paid on that day. Still, it's worth it. Health is more important than money.

The last off I was with Ji-ann. Now I will going to see Ji-ann again. We talked on the phone and she will get me at 11am. We will have some lunch and also Judith will be there too. It will be much more fun hanging out with this two spontaneous friends. See you in a couple of hours and will let you know how our day has been.

Change staff

Monday morning I came to work with a heavy feeling. I thought I could have a help from our newly employee Kim but my boss called me and told me she’s not working because she got a pinky eye. That’s a bummer. She had just her recent trip from southern California and now telling us that she’s sick. The agency called and told me that she got a fever. What kind of a statement is that? Who’s telling the truth? Before I spoke with her agency, my boss told me that she’s out. He got so much on her already. Deep inside I am happy because finally she will be out in the office.

Tuesday morning, I worked thinking that this could be a tough day for me since I will just be working alone. Kim showed up. I was surprised. My boss came after her and he was surprised as well. She came to her cube and after my boss talked to her in his office. Right then, I heard a very familiar screaming voice from her and blurting out how pissed she was holding a phone and I would assumed she talked with the agency people and after talked to her mom to picked her up.

I don’t know how to react that very instant but I felt pity on her part since the agency didn’t tell her the condition of her work status. I just didn’t mind it so I just continued what I was doing while later my boss approached me and said sorry about what happened. He never meant to let me see that situation. It was really a pity sight to have an employee fired. After few hours, Daniela came. She’s from the agency too. She didn’t know what happen. All she knew she was instructed to be at work today. It’s a fast change of event that day. My mind was twisted while joggling the phone and my deadlines.
