4 long years

I am glad I have a job that is secured. I have no problems about getting laid off. Knock on wood I want my job since it makes my life more meaningful. It’s not an ideal job but a dignified one. I am happy that I started with this kind of environment. I wish to get transfer though. Economy these days with lots of lay offs and few job opportunity, it’s hard to land a job that I really like. I am holding on to it.

For four years working at the same company, I only get a few overtime. It was the time when economy was still okay and depression was not talked about. The company was cool too because they really stick to what California overtime policy is. There was no problem of taking more hours over the regular working hours. Now, it’s quite different. Our hours were not the same but still I got the full working hours. I don’t know if another year or two that I will still be in the same company. All I can say is glad to have a stable job.
