Hurdle of Recent Travel

Sunday 7/13/08 - Delta Air

It was an agony of missing a flight from PA airport on Sunday. We arrived on time but boarded 45minutes late. We were hoping to get the fastest take off since the time for the connecting flight was just an hour interval. Lost hopes up when the plane was on the run way stuck with the rest of other airlines. The plane was on the 5^th of the run way. The captain had waited for a go signal from the terminal or I don’t know how to call it. I don’t know on aviation terminology. Anyway, an hour took for the wait and arrived safe at Salt Lake City. It was 9:45pm. Got out from the plane hurried to talk to an agent and check for the next available flight. Unlucky as it was, we’re stuck for a night there until to catch a plane the following day. The airline provided us a hotel accommodation at Western Inn. Just slept for few hours and we were at the airport before 7am the following day. Delta told us no other earlier schedule for the day except at 4pm going to San Francisco. It wasn’t our thing to wait for 8 hours inside the airport. We talked to another airline and we had booked a flight at 10:33am going to Phoenix and connect from there to San Jose. It was a relief to be able to book that flight otherwise we could have stayed at the airport, more money to spend to stay in there and the exhaustion of waiting is just too much. I was glad we still got some luck on our side and home safe at 4:30pm.
