Teeth Whitening for Sensitive Teeth

Pause take a break, coffee and fruit lover hold on! Worried about that yellow stained teeth? Worry no more! This product is a blessing in disguise which just came to my door. Not that I asked for it, suddenly things happen for a reason. I believe when you do good things to people, somehow the universe is listening and that in return good things will come your way. Now my teeth is whiter compare than it what used to be.

This whitening kit is amazing and not only that, you can basically do this at home. I was skeptical in the beginning, but I get good result and I can't believe how it is now.

So you would ask what's my story behind that yellow teeth? My issues started when I was sleep deprived due to the birth of my son. I run my household all day and I need to boost my energy. With that need, I drink coffee and in the afternoon I make those good delicious fruit smoothie. This is my power drink, I can't live the day without it. Overtime, these two together put a tool on my teeth and made it yellowish and stained.

Two weeks before Smile Brilliant made their approached, I did look at myself in the mirror and I was disappointed on how my teeth turned out. I never realized how excessive drinking coffee and staining fruits intake can do even just for a few years. I  tried those Crest Whitening strips a few times and those whitening toothpaste but I only seen slight improvement and it was only a temporary fixed.

I also have issues with teeth sensitivity. The only way for me to whiten my teeth is to have it done professionally. But it comes with a high cost, tedious time going back and forth to the clinic. As a stay at home mom all day everyday with a hyperactive toddler, it's quite hard.

I received the package with this kit. It comes with 3 catalyst, 3 base and mouth guard to create the impression. Also the 4 packs of whitening gel and 4 desensitizing gel with instruction manuals.

Smile Brilliant asked me if I could give their product a try. I was so fascinated by it because this doesn't involve going to the dentist office. That's so cool. Timing is everything and so glad this process suits me well.

I had to write this down in steps so you could really picture what are the process. Here it goes:

1. Before anything else, read the manual very carefully to make the Impression. Mix the base and catalyst for less than a minute. Don't wait for the putty to get harden. I messed up my first putty so make sure you got it right on the second. Good thing, they provide another extra set. Mold the putty on the mouth guard as fast as you can. Place it on the teeth whichever comes first and leave it on for 3 minutes and after gently take it out. Rinse with cold water and let it dry. Do this one at a time for the upper and lower teeth.

2, Mail this impression using the provided already addressed self stamped envelop to the lab. 

3. Check email to confirm if your impression is correctly made and once it gets through, it will take up to 10 days for the custom fit trays to arrive at your door.

4. Teeth Whitening

• Brush your teeth with water and clean your custom fitted trays.
• Remove Whitening gel cap and apply gel thinly to outer surface of trays.

• Dry teeth, insert trays and leave it on for 45 minutes as a starting point and up to 3 hours depending on your sensitivity. I can only go as far as 1 hour because I was so sensitive and what worked for my gums was every other day treatment.

• Rinsed teeth using your regular toothpaste.
• Clean the trays for the next step.

5. Teeth Desensitizing

• This step you should not skip if you are very sensitive. The process is similar to the whitening gel except you have to leave it on for 20 minutes and no rinse necessary. You just have to keep spitting it out and actually the gel taste good. After a few hours this teeth sensitivity will  just go away. 
• Clean the trays and your done. 

What works best for me is do the treatment at night before going to bed. I did try it during the day while taking care of my little one and it seems no problem at all. Things will just be so easy at night when you don't have to worry about anything else. The only downside with it, is just time. It will take time to do the whole process but what the overall outcome can't compare the effort so I believe it's worth it. They say no pain no gain.
