Contour

Contouring defines facial features using makeup shades to create dimension. Start with a foundation matching your skin tone. Choose a contour shade (a matte powder or cream) that's a few shades darker than your skin and a highlighter lighter than your skin.

1. **Prep**: Apply primer and foundation as your base.

2. **Contour**: Use the darker shade along the hollows of your cheeks, sides of the nose, jawline, and hairline. Blend well to avoid harsh lines.

3. **Highlight**: Apply the lighter shade on the high points of your face—cheekbones, brow bones, bridge of the nose, and cupid's bow—to accentuate and bring forward.

4. **Blend**: Ensure seamless blending between the contour and highlight for a natural finish.

5. **Set**: Use translucent powder to set the makeup.

Remember, practice makes perfect. Start with minimal product and gradually build up to avoid going overboard. Tailor the technique to your face shape for the most flattering results.
