this is my first time to celebrate the new year in the island. the spirit here is not as lively as in the other islands. There are fireworks yes but the intensity of the people celebrating is so small that it’s like easily forgotten by the silence and overpower by the sound of crickets. It’s a peaceful island. I may like the busyness of the city celebrating the new year but the peace and tranquillity is just not comparable. I love the latter.
