Baseball

Guest post written by Joseph Finch

I woke up this morning and turned on my DirecTV to check the Weather Channel. I knew that a tropical storm had just hit the gulf coast and would inevitably make it up our direction, but didn’t know when the rain was going to get here. My boyfriend and I had plans to go see a major league baseball game, but we feared it would be rained out. That actually seems to be a theme lately. We tried to go see a minor league game several weeks ago and after two hours, the game was called due to inclement weather. We tried to either get a refund or exchange our tickets. Since we had bought the most expensive seats so we could be close to the field, they offered us four general admission tickets for our two box seats. Unfortunately, there were only two more weekends that the team would be home, neither of which we could attend. We even tried to get them to give us vouchers for a game next season, but they wouldn’t do it. Luckily, we will be able to catch a later game if today’s game is rained out because the team has several more home weekends to choose from!
