Pets In the House

I missed to have pets in the house. I grow up taking care with dogs. My family loves to have pets. I remember we have numerous dogs from different genes and it was a pleasure recalling the times we spent with each one. It was a mixture of feeling from day one to get the puppy and nurturing them from birth until up to their last breathe. The last dog that I cherished most was Princess. She’s a full blooded Doberman. My youngest brother adopted her when she was 6 months old. She’s already a tough dog because of her age. She was attached to my brother and she was feisty with us. As months had gone by, she got used to our presence but some hesitation on our part. She was aggressive and over protective to my brother. There was a lot of adjustment and had trained her but eventually she gave us some respect.

The only problem with her was she was a messed when she couldn’t help herself to do her thing. She did make a lot of mess in the house. Astounded by a Pelican

I was astounded to see this bird. It’s a huge pelican at the boardwalk of Santa Cruz. I saw this bird from a distance where people taking pictures of him. I was like 3 meters away or more when I saw that he was just sitting there enjoying his popularity with the kids. I snapped photos close to the railing but distance away. I think this thing noticed me and slowly walked towards me and stopped when I was few inches away. I said ‘take a pose’ and it did. Hubby saw me and grabbed my camera and took a photo for us both. Sure this bird liked me because he didn’t bite me at all.

Gorilla

It's not my first time to see them but I think it's the first time for me to see how big this animal could be. My cousin and I wasn't aware at first when we entered the vicinity. The time when we first saw one animal, we thought and said wow that's big. So we keep on taking pictures with the first gorilla. Adjusting our dslr camera with the setting, which it was pretty hard for us to tell if it's really good or not. But we kept on trying.

Then we heard the huge bang on the thick glass probably 2 meters away from us. We walked towards it and there we saw him. So big. He was seating right next to the curve glass and just looking at visitors.

Another Sad Story

It was March when I lost one of my first fish Taffy. I had remembered how the feeling was and now I felt like I am going to have the same feeling. I bought Taffy together with Blue. The latter is the beta fish. For me, he is the smart fish. When I get home, I can see from the door looking to where he is that his excitedly swimming to get my attention. The body language I get makes me delighted to see that I am recognized by the fish. I had never seen a fish that could interact with a human. In some way this fish can.

Yesterday, hubby told me that one eye on his left is trying to pop out with some white pigments around the eyelids. I can sense that his not doing any good and he didn’t eat his food. When I got up today trying to eat my breakfast, I checked him again. This time the problem eye is getting worst and the other eye is having white pigments too. His fins are getting the same pigmentation and it’s all over. It’s the worst part to see him suffering. I don’t want to loose that fish but there’s no way for me to prevent it. I guess it’s his time. I will surely going to miss him.
