MASTERS WEEKEND

I was sitting here at work today using our t1 internet connection while I was working and trying to bid on tickets to the practice round for the Masters golf tournament. Unfortunately, the ticket prices went above my price range. Two practice round tickets sold for twelve hundred dollars! Much to rich for my blood! I have never been, but I try to come up with tickets every year. Each person that I know that has been to the tournament says that it is the coolest thing that they have ever been to (even if they aren’t golf lovers). The course looks pristine on television, but the people who have actually been say that it is so beautiful that you could almost eat off of the course. You can also get really close to very famous golfers. My husband has been before and he said that it was the most fun that he had ever had. He went one year that Tiger won. Since Tiger won the tournament last weekend, I think that there is going to be a huge crowd at the Masters this year.

Living far Away

Living so far away from my family has been a tough adjustment. I wasn’t sure how to go from seeing all of them each and every day to practically only seeing them at holidays – it was a big shock to my system. Also, being without a babysitter for my kids has made it tough for me and you know, I still haven’t found a job yet because I have to work part time and I can’t afford daycare anyway. My husband got a new job which is why we had to move and I did all the things to help this place feel like home like getting ADT Broadview and putting up our old paintings and I’ve even gotten Skype so I can talk to my family when I miss them a lot. But you know, there’s something to be said for being face to face with people you love and getting a real, warm hug when you need one. There’s nothing like being close to family but I’m learning to deal with being far away!

Staying Close with Family

I had always been best friends with my closest cousin. We were the closest in age, so we did basically everything together. We were in the same class at school and often played the same sports. We hung out with the same group of people and eventually went to the same college. So it was a pretty difficult change for both of us when after college, we ended up taking jobs in two different states. I have been blogging for a time. My friend Mia introduced me to write my thoughts through blogging. That time on, it has been my ways of conveying my daily activities.
