Nostalgia and a movie

Finding something to do together as a family can seem impossible. It's hard to get everyone to agree on an afternoon or evening out. Going to the movies is one of those things we can get both the boys and the girls to agree to doing. It is for this reason that we try to go see a movie at least once a month. For this same reason we often spend the time and money on family movies, often animated, as those ones generally throw in a little humor for adults to enjoy, over the heads of their children. On the odd occasion that my husband and I can get out alone to see a movie, I usually prefer something scary or thrilling.

We have a couple of choices when deciding on where to go for a movie during the summer. We can go to our local cinema complex or in our area we are lucky enough to have two of the few remaining drive-in theaters. The drive-ins are a must atleast once every summer and you really can't beat the price at $14.00 a car load for 2 movies. If you have a drive-in in your area, the nostalgia alone is worth the trip, so pack up the kids and snacks, set your Adt security system, grab the mosquito spray, and enjoy the show!

Brotherly bonding at the movies

My brother and I are two very different people. We don't have a lot in common, so it's tough for us to spend a lot of quality time together. Pretty much the only thing we both like doing is going to the movies. We try to be sure to catch a movie together once or twice a month. It's a great way for us to keep in touch.

He usually comes to pick me up. He's always early, and I'm always running late: one of the many ways we are the opposite. He's pretty patient though, and once I find my keys and set my best home alarm system, we head down to our local cinema. It's just down the street from my apartment, so that's convenient.

Considering how different we are in so many ways, it's pretty amazing that we have such similar tastes in movies. We tend to like the big, epic kind of movies that are best seen in theatres with a big screen and a great sound system. We saw all of the Lord of the Rings films several times together.

Afterwards, we like to go grab some dinner together, and the movie we just saw always gives us plenty to talk about. It's also a good time to catch up on our personal lives. The movies have really brought us together.

Dating

It is been awhile that I haven't been dating my hubby. So we decided to watch an early movie show. The ticket was purchased early enough to start the day. Hubby came to the theater at AMC Mercado to get it while I cooked breakfast. When he got home, he brought with him coffee from Mcdonalds. Perfect for a good breakfast.

We arrived the theater past 11:15am. The movie preview was still showing. So it was good to get early enough not to miss any scene from IRONMAN 2. It took over an hour. I loved it. Though other people didn't like it that much compare to the first movie. As for me, I don't care what other people think. I just love superhero regardless. I am looking forward for part 3 now and I won't miss it for sure. Scarlet Johansson's character was the bomb. She got that curvaceous body, hot! She's an addition to the first original movie but she acted so very well. Loved her! The rest of the actors Robert Downey and Gwenneth Paltrow is such good actors. Perfect to portray for a marvel character. I would say good job to the digital artists too. Man, I love how they do it. I wish I could do the same and work like them and getting paid like them. Just wishful thinking. I have no way of getting that. No education for that matter.

Right after, we went to Olive Garden for lunch in Palo Alto. My favorite pasta place. The food was as usual good and we also got some left over to bring home. Price wise, it is reasonable. Part of the entree, soup and bread is already included. That alone can fill you up. But we've ordered stuffed mushroom. I asked hubby for it because I missed it. When we got to the main entree we are already full. That's good we can get some food home. LOL! and no cooking!

A DaY WeLL SpEnt

Hubby and I spend our morning at home relaxing. I made a breakfast for us and we ate together. We missed to have that and I can only do that every weekend. From the time I started to work, I spend my morning alone and prepare something for myself. I can only bid him with a kiss either in bed or when he wakes up early.

Some days ago he asked me to spend quality time and his looking forward to it over the weekend. It was a great idea and I granted his wish wholeheartedly. He is a very thoughtful guy and he always makes sure he can spend more time with me as possible. The weekday schedule is quite busy for us and the time to spend when we are off from work is something that needs to nourish.

We are on our 2nd year in marriage. The time to fritter should be worth it to make the relationship sturdy. He doesn’t want us to be distant to each other. He looks up to the consequence of the marriage. And by no means wouldn’t squander the time by an uneventful ways.

We drove to highway 92 passed the beautiful hills and scenery and stopped at the beach in Poplar St, Half Moon Bay. Got out from the car, walked to the edge of the hill, oversee the picturesque view of the bay, heard the splash of the waves and the medium sound chills from the wind. We just stood there up on the hill didn’t walked barefoot down to the shore but it was a moment to spare with an alluring thoughts.

We left the place to look for food, ate at Popeyes and safely get back to home. Relaxed a little bit, made to think of seeing a movie. Browsed the internet and read reviews and arrived at AMC Mercado in Mission and watched the “Vantage Point”. It was a great movie. Filled with plotting scene and you keep on guessing who is the terrorist. I just don’t like the way the scene were divided by each character. It bore me parts in the middle but the last scene was touchy. It took us an hour and a half in the theatre, home at last and ate ice cream sundae from Mcdo and finishing up this writing.
