Hawaiian Party

My very good friend Reyn hosted a party together with Jonalyn. The theme of the party is Hawaiian. Of course I am very excited to participate at the event. The party was for the 2 wonderful babies they have. Both celebrated a year old. Most parents when a child turned one that is one hella party. Aa big celebration one should not missed. One of the most important party of all time.

The party was held at the clubhouse where Jonalyn lives. It has a swimming pool and the place is great for accommodating a big crowd. I was kind of late that day because I was still doing something from the house and able to arrived 2 hours after. When I get there I had seen familiar faces that I have not seen for awhile and it's really nice to be able to see them. My friends that I usually been seeing were there too after sometime. The party was great with lots of foods and the theme and decor set by the hosts where just fabulous. It's really nice of them to be able to come up with a very good concept.

A friend's Party

It's so nice to be around with good people who can cheer you up and who's there no matter what. I am blessed for this few years and I am embracing what I have. I am thankful to God for showing me the people who deserves to have my friendship and receive it back. I have no problem with these people that I am around. They are all different in their own ways and that's what makes life beautiful. People is very unique in their own ways. A good mind with a good spirit is what makes me hold to people and the people that I am with and the people that I know now no matter where they are in the world.

End of July, I attended Joylyns Birthday. Joy is one of my good friends since 2007. Very young girl with a lot things in her mind. She's a very nice gal. She cooked a a lot of food, provide us some good laughter and talk. Indeed a party will not be complete without it. I had the chance to take some photos of her and my friends but I had some difficulty on the settings of my camera because of the light ambience in her place. It was a challenge to me. It didnt turn out the way I had envision it. This is what photography is. It will give you a very creative mind to get what you want. Though I didn't really get what I want, but the learning process taught me something that day. Here are the photos:

Baby Shower 2010

This month I attended 2 baby showers. First one with Vina the 2nd weekend of July. I was with friends and of course the never ending laughter and talk. Indeed we are too shallow people. We will just be happy when we get together and share the moments with the celebrants. Somewhere part of ourselves would wonder how to feel of being the expected mother. The 2nd shower was from my friend's daughter in law. Just happened yesterday. It was a great party, so much food and so many guests. It was a good party.

Club Pearl, San Jose CA

The place is located South of First Street in Downtown San Jose. I arrived there past 10pm with friends and their hubby. It is a big place for a club. The ceilings are high. The decors are pretty neat. The area for the seats partition is separated by a metal steel frame where it is wrapped with white linen hanging loosely. Dramatically puts the impression the era of the medieval period but with a touch of modern sophistication. It also has Lcd Tv that hang on the wall for those people who preferred just to relax and watch Mtv while drinking and sipping some wines or drinks for the night. The purple wide seats are comfortable enough a party can enjoy. Lucky enough for us we got these VIP seat. My friend Kim got it for us for free. Isn’t that nice?
The time there that I spent with friends was so cool. It was my first night and the Dj’s repertoire satisfied the mood I have for the night. There was a showdown with 3 sexy ladies dancing on the poll. It made the night alive. I was happy to had joined my friends and able to see the place. I had such marvelous time with them.

New years Celebration

My friends and I had a good time. We had started our night in a fabulous restaurant in Santa Row at Roux Louisiana Kitchen. Majority of the party came and it was a great dining experience. Hubby and I started with crab cakes and our main course filet mignon. It was a good meal. We saluted Kim for booking it for us.

Right after dinner, the girls and I took some photos outside the restaurant. We just could not live without it especially when you we were dressed and made up. We continued the party at Norie’s place. We had bought 2 bottles of champagne to share for the group. I on the other didn’t get the drink since I was the designated driver. I just had an apple cider which was not a bad drink either. We joined the count down viewed by live telecast on tv, took photos on the exact time and the group picture afterwards. It was a great evening to be with friends and to be with the man of my life.

Birthday celebration

I am so happy on the event of my birthday. We celebrated it on the night of the 23rd. Most of the people I had expected came to joined us. The party was a blast.

The weekend before the party, me and hubby set up the tent we purchased at the back of our house. We were kind of busy setting it up and trying to plan for decorating it. Until the day of the party, we pulled it together to make it work even to the last minute. But it turned out so well. We were too exhausted doing it but the hard work paid off because it was a great party. Too see the people I invited really enjoyed the food, accommodation and company of the rest of the crowd was enough to pay the effort we exerted.

I really appreciate all the people who came to the party especially that they did bring some food, gifts and great company. I can't really ask for more. I am so blessed to be around with lots of good people. I wanna thank God for the blessings this year. I hope for another good year next year.

Birthday Surprise

It was my birthday surprise for Joey and so glad that my friends made it possible for me. But best of all thankful for the main host for spending the occasion at her house. The guests invited were cooperative too. And I would say we pulled it off to deliver the surprise until we brought in the birthday cake. It was deliberately a shocking revelation but so very happy he appreciated the thoughts we had for him.

Not been around

Yes you are right. Not been around here for long. Really not that long but I would say a month or so. This must have been the longest days I am not updating my blog. But these days, I have to start again and hopefully build again another relationship to my readers and hopefully can attract advertisers.

To sum up the last couple of weeks, I did meet 2 old schoolmates from high school. It's almost 2 decades haven't been able to see them. That must be too long but we do still remember. Time flies so fast, you will never your future is already your present. I guess I don't make sense on this but I just assumed that you know what I mean. lol!

I attended a birthday, house warming, christening, baby shower and of course eating Filipino foods were just so great seeing my friends. Pictures can't be live without. Most of my friends are so fanatic about making pose and just be what they are. It's fun to see all different faces and reactions. As for me, loving taking pictures of portraits, I don't mind just to be the person behind the camera. Well, indeed it will give me more experience in learning the functionality of my camera and the techniques I could get from each shoot.

Of course, FB is so popular these days. It's the site where people are great crazy updating and getting to be socialize. I have fun using the site and addicted to their games like FT. Now, I am learning to know some other games but as slow as I am into learning new games I know one day I could get into it by heart.

Birthday Get Together

I spent my birthday with a good memory. Majority all of my friends came. Just sad to say some of the friends who couldn't make it because their children were sick so they need to stay home and took care of their kids. I wish all could have come so it could be much merrier. But I was happy to see who came. It was all about talk and laughters. I was kind of exhausted with the days of preparation so my adrenaline was kind of low. I got the energy from my friends. It's another year of a good memory. It surely is for keeps.

Baby Party

My friends from San Jose organized a baby shower for Myrabel. The party started at 5pm. Joey dropped me past 5 and I saw Lyn at the door with her baby while Joy and Lalai we're still preparing. I saw Lyn holding a very nice camera. So nice of her to have such a good gadget. I know one day I can have mine too. Anyway, Lalai toured me her place. It's a good price for the size of the apartment. I think it could be bigger than the duplex unit we will going to move next week. I just like in our unit because it has it's washer and dryer and garage. A bit pricey too for an old unit but at least we can get out from the apartment we are living now. Anyway, back to the party. It was a good one. I had seen old faces and close friends. I had a good time hearing, talking, exchanging laughters with all of them. It's so good to attend a party where you can get a very good laugh.

Halloween 2008

I missed a good party last night. My close friends organized a party which somehow I wasn't able to attend. It could have been so much better to experience Halloween this year if I was there. But anyway, it's already in the past. I am hoping I can attend my friends party next year. I will look forward to that. Anyway, though I wasn't able to attend a party with my friends. My friends at work did attend our clients party. Their building is just right next door. Liz and I arrived there past 11am. Clients throw their big smile, said hello's. It's so touchy to see them. There was a contest for the best in costume where Liz and I judged it. The winners were proclaimed already when Daniella came late. She wore her pirate costume. She's very beautiful on it. Liz and her look so good with their costume. I just wore a simple dark long dress with a purple in the center. I didn't plan to wear any costume until Liz kept on telling me what will I wear. It turned out to be just fine.In the evening, my husband and I traditionally drive around the neighborhood to see children in their different costume trick and treating to houses. I had a good time seeing kids, holding their bags, pumpkin basin knocking on the door. It made me think back on my childhood which I didn't experienced when I was younger. The PI tradition is different. I spent on my family at some cemetery to light candles for our loved ones. That's our tradition. But here in the US, it's quite festive and somehow different.

I took a lot of pictures of different creatures, spooky houses and inflated balloons. I had the good time with hubby seeing what I would want to see. I am looking forward next year for another good Halloween.
