Surprise Bday Party

It was a privilege that I got a request to shoot for a surprise birthday party. Though it might not be a good thing in my part since I would not be able to take so much about myself but friends were kind enough to remember me in some instances and took some photos of me.

Anyway, the party was held at American Legion in Campbell. Majority of us arrived on time for our call time at 12:30pm Oct the 9th. The place is cool and our party was held at the bar and outdoor patio. We got some view of the lake but it was covered with blinds. The weather was great it wasn't cold. We thought it could be a cold day. I guess the weather these days is like spring time. It's not cold and not too hot but there was a moment we hit heatwave too. The change of the weather is just crazy.

So, the party was great. I saw common faces and great friends. The celebrant arrived past 1:30pm and the treat for her was a success. The husband and the hosts did a good job. As for my part, I did try my best to take everyone some photos and memorabilia. Here are some of those:

Hawaiian Party

My very good friend Reyn hosted a party together with Jonalyn. The theme of the party is Hawaiian. Of course I am very excited to participate at the event. The party was for the 2 wonderful babies they have. Both celebrated a year old. Most parents when a child turned one that is one hella party. Aa big celebration one should not missed. One of the most important party of all time.

The party was held at the clubhouse where Jonalyn lives. It has a swimming pool and the place is great for accommodating a big crowd. I was kind of late that day because I was still doing something from the house and able to arrived 2 hours after. When I get there I had seen familiar faces that I have not seen for awhile and it's really nice to be able to see them. My friends that I usually been seeing were there too after sometime. The party was great with lots of foods and the theme and decor set by the hosts where just fabulous. It's really nice of them to be able to come up with a very good concept.

A friend's Party

It's so nice to be around with good people who can cheer you up and who's there no matter what. I am blessed for this few years and I am embracing what I have. I am thankful to God for showing me the people who deserves to have my friendship and receive it back. I have no problem with these people that I am around. They are all different in their own ways and that's what makes life beautiful. People is very unique in their own ways. A good mind with a good spirit is what makes me hold to people and the people that I am with and the people that I know now no matter where they are in the world.

End of July, I attended Joylyns Birthday. Joy is one of my good friends since 2007. Very young girl with a lot things in her mind. She's a very nice gal. She cooked a a lot of food, provide us some good laughter and talk. Indeed a party will not be complete without it. I had the chance to take some photos of her and my friends but I had some difficulty on the settings of my camera because of the light ambience in her place. It was a challenge to me. It didnt turn out the way I had envision it. This is what photography is. It will give you a very creative mind to get what you want. Though I didn't really get what I want, but the learning process taught me something that day. Here are the photos:

2009 Xmas & Birthday Video

Hi all.. Here is the video I just made. It took me a couple of days to finish it. It was kind of difficult. I spent so many hours editing and importing files and videos. It was my very first to import my handycam's footage too. Quite got the excitement when I learned how to do it.

I am not a professional nor have the educational background in creating movies. This is just a new passion I have learned while I stayed here in the US. I might wanna go study Media arts. I want to learn more and create real good ones. As of now this is an amateur output product, using photoshop, adobe premiere, sound effects by free loop and my own's laptop sony vaio content exporter.

Birthday celebration

I am so happy on the event of my birthday. We celebrated it on the night of the 23rd. Most of the people I had expected came to joined us. The party was a blast.

The weekend before the party, me and hubby set up the tent we purchased at the back of our house. We were kind of busy setting it up and trying to plan for decorating it. Until the day of the party, we pulled it together to make it work even to the last minute. But it turned out so well. We were too exhausted doing it but the hard work paid off because it was a great party. Too see the people I invited really enjoyed the food, accommodation and company of the rest of the crowd was enough to pay the effort we exerted.

I really appreciate all the people who came to the party especially that they did bring some food, gifts and great company. I can't really ask for more. I am so blessed to be around with lots of good people. I wanna thank God for the blessings this year. I hope for another good year next year.

Birthday Surprise

It was my birthday surprise for Joey and so glad that my friends made it possible for me. But best of all thankful for the main host for spending the occasion at her house. The guests invited were cooperative too. And I would say we pulled it off to deliver the surprise until we brought in the birthday cake. It was deliberately a shocking revelation but so very happy he appreciated the thoughts we had for him.

Birthday Get Together

I spent my birthday with a good memory. Majority all of my friends came. Just sad to say some of the friends who couldn't make it because their children were sick so they need to stay home and took care of their kids. I wish all could have come so it could be much merrier. But I was happy to see who came. It was all about talk and laughters. I was kind of exhausted with the days of preparation so my adrenaline was kind of low. I got the energy from my friends. It's another year of a good memory. It surely is for keeps.

Plans for the Holiday

My birthday is coming not for long now. I miss hosting a party. The last time I did was when I was in my 2nd year here in the country. I invited few people and it was a good party. I had expected people and they made my day. This coming birthday, I am not yet so sure if I will have it held here in the house. It is one of the possibilities. I don't know if people will come or like the idea of it. But I have to ask first my husband if it's okay. I am not sure of myself too if I would want one. I want my birthday and christmas to be memorable. Perhaps throwing a party can be a good idea.

Vanessa's Birthday

Jen my friend from Pleasanton sent me an invitation a week ago for her daughter's 2nd birthday. I talked to hubby yesterday to follow up if he wanted to go and he said yes. I am excited to see Jen again and see her new place. I went around to buy a gift when I got off from work and wrapped the gifts for the baby.

Earlier today, hubby told me to give Jen a message that we will be coming so I sent her through yahoo, friendster and called her to make sure that she knew. We arrived 2:30pm. Steve and the new baby Spencer was outside when we parked across to their beautiful house. He greeted and acknowledge our presence and show us the way to the basement while holding and taking care of the baby. Their house is big and it's beautiful inside with it's interior design and layout. When I walked in, I saw the table of food and the lechon too. I saw Reyn and her kids outside while Jen was preparing the drinks. I greeted her and she was happy to see me and Joey. A few minutes, we ate and I had a good share of the lechon. It was good. The party was nice and the presence of the clown and the kids laughter made it memorable for Vanessa.

The Cake from Goldilocks

My Mom's Birthday

This Sunday is my mom's birthday. Honestly, I stop counting on the years she was born so I can't tell if how old she is now. I am glad that she's not very sickly though at times when I spoke with her on the phone she would mentioned some symptoms she's experiencing. I am very worried about her health. I am hoping that my sis-in-laws and brothers will take noticed on her illness. It must be tiring for them complaining about it but that just what older people are. Body change and become sickly. I hope they will take care of her. Anyway, so much with that. Tomorrow, I am going to send some money for my beloved mother. It's been my 3 years now being away not celebrating her birthday with me but I am sure people around her will surprise her. I wish I could be there for her and would say to her thank you for the love and all the support.

Hawaiian Theme

My friend's husband will have a party starting at 4 this afternoon. This will be a great party. Ji-ann told me several times that Charles wanted this event to be the party of the year. Both of them had prepared so much for this and some of my friends are helping them too. It was too bad last night I wasn't able to drop by at Ji-ann's place. It was planned already that I will be there but with personal reasons that I can't avoid I have to settle my own problem first.

Anyway, emotionally I am good and some misunderstandings were clarified I am good to go for the party this afternoon. It will be a cool one for the theme will be hawaiian. The last time I attended a party a luau was when I went to Hawaii for my husband's birthday that was Sept of 2005. It has been long. I am excited for the party and see my friends.

My friends baby party

Ji-ann left a voicemail and returned her call after 12:30pm. I decided to pick her up at her place and droved to Joy's party. Almost 2pm we were there. See familiar faces and had a great time with the never ending talk and laughter. Pictures were not surely missed and it's always part of our thing. The host of the party is Joy & Richard and baby Nathan is celebrating his 2nd year. The food was great ordered from Goldilocks. It was delicious.

I had a great time with my friends and it is so wonderful to have them in my life. I might not often see them as I would like to. But every get together was a blast with them. It is so much enjoyable to know them and would keep them forever.

I am so tired at this hour and my eyes are falling to sleep. I will post more pics or give links later. Until then.
